I、Brief Instruction for  International Trademark Registration:

There are two approaches to access trademark registration in foreign countries:

(1) Obtain trademark registration in each country, which means filing a trademark application with trademark office of each country.

(2) Obtain international trademark registration based on Madrid Agreement Concerning the International Registration of Marks and Protocol Relating to the Madrid Agreement Concerning the International Registration of Marks. There are 86 members of Madrid Union Assembly by July 25th, 2012.

II、Required Materials for international trademark registration:

i、Trademark registration in each country:  

Submit materials as required by each country or region.

ii、Madrid International Registration:

1、An application of Madrid International Registration of Mark in Chinese;
2、An application of Madrid International Registration in foreign language;
3、Power of Attorney;
4、Subject Qualification Certificate of the applicant;
5、A sample of trademark ;
6、A copy of Trademark Registration Certificate in China or a copy of  Notice of Acceptance.
